Fascism, anti-fascism and much more
Monday, September 14 we held the second meeting of our group. Unfortunately, for various reasons, the participation was less than the first meeting, but the debate was still very lively and passionate. The theme for the evening, which was left for discussion is - as the title says - "Fascism and anti-fascism: yesterday and today." We asked whether it still makes sense, in 2009, declaring anti-fascists, it shared the values of anti, individually and, more importantly, at the party. The question may seem rhetorical, and an end in itself, but to our society if we think we understand that this question is anything but rhetoric. The signals are different and disturbing, and are experienced at all levels, from the "people" policy of the upper floors. Revisionism has become fashionable, but the most troubling are more subtle, less obvious. Our society is saturated to the core behaviors "fascists" in all areas in a person's life, from work to education, healthcare information. For this reason, the debate has shifted course by manifestations of anti-outer, which may be Celebrations partisan in the most recent developments, anchored in the reality we live every day. It 'obvious that participation in the anti-fascist demonstration is essential, especially by those parties. A real left-wing party has a moral duty to declare publicly anti-fascist, and should not be the slightest hesitation or failure, which unfortunately in recent years has occurred. But next to this statement of values is essential to fight against the new fascism: the exploitation and insecurity at work, which leads to a terrible war between the poor, rampant xenophobia, fueled by the economic crisis, on which the populist Northern League blows continuously; a health and public education reduced bone, with boys more and more ignorant and classified and more people forced to turn to private finances permitting, and finally, information dying, in which the few dissident voices are pickaxe blows of complaints, more or less veiled intimidation, but always without dirtying your hands. All this to give way to the only possible truth, the truth of the master who does not accept criticism, nor opposition. The debate was much dwelt on the importance of information, even given the events of recent days. The maneuver orchestrated by Berlusconi to silence every dissenting voice during the self-celebration was broadcast in prime time is a plus disturbing the media regime that exists in Italy. No dissent, no voice that can scratch the truth of the Chapter, as fake. Just today we had further evidence of the enormity of the lie that pours daily information on admissions: an acquaintance of ours, a volunteer at Onna, has informed us that the houses opened yesterday, Tuesday, Sept. 16, are without electricity and gas; so useless. The keys that Berlusconi has handed in great pomp, were all returned. Of course, no news today has bothered to give this news.
The problem of information is so crucial for a left that wants to scratch the excessive power of Berlusconi. The debate has dwelt on the methods used, and the practical possibilities that the left would oppose an organic and compact to the right. There has been talk of communication, mobilization, short of returning to use the methods that the left has always used, and which are part of her nature deeper and more authentic. It 'clear that our most immediate objective should be to involve as many people as possible, and this requires commitment from everyone. Another important goal, but certainly less affordable, is to make its voice heard loud, everyone in the party when campaigning. The political leadership must listen to his militants, and militants have be free to decide the appropriateness or otherwise of their representatives. The more we are, the more our voice will be strong, and the ruling class can no longer make a deaf ear.
The discussion continued after midnight, when it was established that the next topic to be addressed is the problem of work, a subject on which the left must absolutely start talking and talking. The working class - and especially this working class, disoriented and insecure - is greatly in need of a left that you talk to him and that is speak. Work is the banner under which all the left has finally come together.
